I am a 40-something single mom with two sons, ages 9 and 7.
I worked on Capitol Hill for four years after college, went to law school, worked as an attorney in the D.C. office of a big Texas firm for two years, was a stay-at-home mom for seven years, and went back to work in 2007, as an investment banker. Last year, I got laid off and I’m still mostly unemployed. I work part-time teaching knitting and fondling wool at River Colors Studio.
I live on the East side of Cleveland, Ohio. I love this city.
My older son has autism.
A non-exhaustive list of things that fascinate, amuse, and delight me, in no particular order: indie music, cute shoes, alpaca, good porters, Paris, the Arts and Crafts movement, knitting, creme brulee, Modern British literature, liberal politics, teapots, skirts and dresses, simple French food, Cleveland, crochet, Radiohead, vintage cookbooks, historical fiction, coffee with more body than acidity, movies, baseball.
