About Laura

A few pertinent facts…

I am a 40-something single mom with two sons, ages 17 and 14.

I live on the East side of Cleveland, Ohio. I love this city.

My older son has autism.

A non-exhaustive list of things that fascinate, amuse, and delight me, in no particular order: indie music, cute shoes, good porters, Paris, the Arts and Crafts movement, knitting, creme brulee, Modern British literature, liberal politics, teapots, skirts and dresses, simple French food, Cleveland, crochet, Radiohead, vintage cookbooks, historical fiction, coffee with more body than acidity, movies, baseball.

I am affiknitty on Ravelry and Instagram.

you should also add that you’re hilarious, generous, and have a hard-to-place accent…

This is tight. If you came up in Cleveland, we’ve probably bumped into each other at Shows back in the day. Myself? I’m all over ‘Doomed’ on SomaFM.com …stay hard! -g

    Hi Laura,

Are you lisa Brodbeck’s sister? I went to ND – great to see you out there and doing well! I knew it was you when I saw the D.C. reference on your profile and the Democratic love! Good memories! I hope you are doing as great as it sounds.

  5. You knit, read, like baseball, and enjoy liberal politics? Well now. . . come and sit by me! Of course, I suppose that with two sons, you don’t have much time to sit at all.

Nice that you live someplace you love.
